Together, we want to further significantly reduce CO₂ emissions at our sites by 2030. To this end, we have formulated appropriate climate targets and are continuously implementing concrete measures. For example, we already recycle wood residues, bark, sawdust, and paper and fiber residues into valuable thermal energy in Steyrermühl. We also use renewable energy sources such as hydropower, biogas, and photovoltaics, and are continuing to expand these. With a new recycling plant, we will take another big step forward in the energy transition in the future. This will enable us to replace most of the natural gas we still use today with biogenic energy sources.
